Product Overview
Cast by the traditional lost-wax method and finished entirely by hand, this bronze abstract sculpture presents two balancing stacks of faceted stones in pale brown bronze. a pale brown patina gives the surface its depth, and the simplified planes keep the design readable in modern interiors. At 270 × 130 × 650 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
Each stone in the stack is cut into clean facets — sharper and more architectural than river pebbles — and the stack climbs with slight rotations so no two faces align. The pale brown patina is lightest on the upper facets, as if the sun had dried them first.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on sideboards, consoles and reception counters, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Art of Balance
Stacked stones speak Chinese natively too: scholars have piled rocks in gardens for a thousand years, and 太湖石 towers anchored exactly this kind of appreciation — mass, void and poise. On a desk or console, a bronze stack carries the same message East or West: stillness that took effort, calm that holds.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
The pale brown tone is a light patina over bronze, hand-rubbed on the high facets and left deeper in the shadows, then sealed.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is it one piece or separate stones?
One hollow-cast piece — the stones are joined in the casting, so the balance is fixed and permanent. You never need to assemble or adjust anything.
2. Why pale brown rather than natural grey?
The pale brown patina lifts the stack in modern interiors — grey stone disappears against grey rooms, while the warm tone reads like sunlit sandstone. If you prefer a different stone tone, we can patina a custom order accordingly.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
