Product Overview
This bronze takes an apsaras dancer with red-and-blue ribbons, studio view of the series as its subject and edits everything else away — no clutter, no fuss, just the gesture and the presence of the figure carried in hollow-cast bronze. a hand-applied patina is applied by hand and sealed. At 375 × 220 × 1100 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.
Closed loops give the piece its balance: the eye enters at the figure, follows a ribbon around and returns. It is sculpture that keeps you moving, ideal for open lobbies and display plinths.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a lobby floor or large entrance surface, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: The Flying Apsaras
Western sculpture has its Winged Victory — drapery pressed back by flight itself. The East answers with the apsaras: celestial musicians of the Buddhist sky, flying not on wings but on ribbons that trail kilometers across the Dunhuang cave ceilings. This series takes that image into the modern interior: a dancer suspended in a loop of sweeping bands, weightless, playing or dancing as she travels.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
The ribbon loops are cast hollow with graded thickness and braced internally; each loop is measured, welded and dressed so the curve runs unbroken from tip to base.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do the apsaras figures have wings?
No — and that is the point. Apsaras fly on ribbons rather than wings, the Chinese answer to the Western winged victory. The bands you see looping around the figure are her flight.
2. Can I take several pieces from the series for one display?
Yes — the series shares pose language, scale and finish, so two or three apsaras grouped on a long console or staggered on plinths read as one sky. Project pricing is available for the set.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
