Minimalist-Style Peacock

Hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, 600 × 100 × 240 mm, 1.8 kg. Minimalist peacock, simplified tail, finished with a hand-applied, sealed patina — ideal for desks, shelves and reception counters.

Product Overview

Among TYART’s animal bronzes, this peacock stands out for the way a hand-applied patina plays over its forms: minimalist peacock, simplified tail. The modelling is calm and confident, built from broad planes that catch light along the silhouette. At 600 × 100 × 240 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.

The train is built from overlapping feather planes, each separated by a shallow ridge that the patina shades naturally. The neck is drawn in one clean S-curve into the small, precise head, and the whole bird is carried on a steady base so the forward mass of the train never fights the balance.

Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on desks, shelves and console tops, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.

Design Inspiration: The Peacock as a Symbol of Beauty and Dignity

The peacock has meant splendor in every age: sacred to Hera in ancient Greece, a symbol of immortality in early Christian art, the badge of rank at the imperial court in China, and a favorite motif from Art Deco interiors to contemporary wallpapers. That long association with beauty and dignity is why a peacock bronze instantly elevates a reception area. This model keeps the proud carriage and the trailing train but edits the detail down to what sculpture needs: broad feather planes, a confident neck curve, and a train that sweeps behind the body like a held breath.

Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina

Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.

The train is reinforced internally where it cantilevers behind the body; the thickness is taken out of view, so the silhouette stays fine but the structure is solid.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does a peacock symbolize?

Beauty, dignity and achievement — from the courts of Europe and China to modern design, the peacock’s eye-feathers have always been emblems of rank and refinement. It is a popular choice for reception areas and as a gift for milestones.

2. Is the tail train delicate?

No. The train is cast as one hollow bronze piece with the body, with hidden reinforcement where it cantilevers. It is rigid and stable; we simply recommend lifting the sculpture by the base when moving it.

3. Can I order this piece in a different color?

Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.

4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?

The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.

5. What is the MOQ?

We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
