Product Overview
Among TYART’s figure bronzes, this piece stands out for the way a hand-applied green patina plays over its forms: a green-robed guqin player ringed by sweeping black ribbons. The modelling is calm and confident, built from broad planes that catch light along the silhouette. At 1400 × 450 × 2180 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.
The loop also does structural work — it widens the footprint and braces the figure, which lets the pose stay light and extended without losing stability.
The patina is built up in layers and sealed, which means tone varies slightly from piece to piece — the mark of genuine hand finishing rather than a sprayed imitation. On a lobby floor or large entrance surface, it holds its own without competing with the furniture around it, and it needs no more care than an occasional soft-cloth dusting.
Design Inspiration: Ribbons in the Air
Chinese painters had the same idea a thousand years earlier — 吴带当风, ‘ribbons riding the wind’ — the way flying drapery tells you a figure is moving. Here the ribbon circles the player and returns to the base, so the sculpture reads complete from every angle, carrying the energy of performance into a still room.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
The ribbon is cast as part of the figure but finished separately: polished dark on the outer face, shaded within the loop, so the band catches light differently as you walk around the piece.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the ribbon fragile?
No — it is cast bronze as part of the same body, with generous thickness at the curve. The sculpture is finished as one piece and packed with the ribbon braced; normal indoor display poses no risk.
2. What does the ribbon mean?
It stands for movement and music made visible — in Chinese painting terms, ribbons riding the wind. Western visitors usually read it as a dancer’s scarf; both readings are welcome, and neither is wrong.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
