Product Overview
Verdigris Monolith with Pine – Bronze Mountain Sculpture is a hollow-cast bronze mountain sculpture with a verdigris teal patina with a gold pine accent. The subject — a tall verdigris cliff with a lone golden pine standing unyielding at its edge — is drawn with clean sculptural planes rather than surface fuss, so the piece reads clearly from across the room and keeps rewarding detail up close. At 430 × 150 × 910 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
Each monolith rises vertically — smooth cliffs on some models, split and creviced rock on others — with the golden pine placed where the silhouette peaks. The verdigris surface is mottled like weathered stone, brighter on the ridges, deep green-teal in the hollows.
The patina is built up in layers and sealed, which means tone varies slightly from piece to piece — the mark of genuine hand finishing rather than a sprayed imitation. On a sideboard, console or reception counter, it holds its own without competing with the furniture around it, and it needs no more care than an occasional soft-cloth dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Lone Pine on the Cliff
In Chinese painting the pine means 坚毅 — resolve — and 坚贞不屈, a fidelity that will not bend: the noblest of the 岁寒三友, green when every other tree has dropped its leaves. A cliff with a lone pine is the classic emblem of someone who holds their ground. Set in a study or an office, the piece says simply: stand fast, keep your colour, outlast the winter.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
Tall thin monoliths are cast hollow to keep weight reasonable, with internal thickness verified at the narrow sections; the rock texture is tooled by hand so no two faces repeat exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the pine fragile on such a tall piece?
It is cast as part of the design with verified thickness and hand-dressed after casting — the same care given to the monolith itself. Packed with molded protection around the crown, it ships safely.
2. Can I group several mountains together?
Yes — the series is designed with shared scale and patina, so two or three models of different heights make a convincing range, like a miniature mountain range on a long console.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
