Product Overview
Cast by the traditional lost-wax method and finished entirely by hand, this bronze alpaca presents bronze-red alpaca on a black base. a hand-applied patina gives the surface its depth, and the simplified planes keep the design readable in modern interiors. At 368 × 156 × 554 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
The ears are the character detail — long, slightly angled, and finished with bright tips. The stance is settled and calm, suited to shelves and consoles.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on sideboards, consoles and reception counters, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Gentle Camelid
The alpaca’s appeal is its gentleness — a long neck, a cloud of fleece, and an expression that is permanently mildly amused. Native to the Andes and beloved worldwide, it carries none of the heavy symbolism of other subjects: it is simply friendly, which is exactly why it works in children’s spaces, gift shops and modern interiors. This bronze keeps all three: the neck’s curve gives the piece its line, the fleece is suggested in soft relief, and the face does the charm.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
The legs are cast thin but robust; after casting they are trued on a surface plate so the animal stands level on hard flooring.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the alpaca a good gift for children?
As a display piece, yes — it is popular for children’s rooms and young families. It is a metal sculpture, not a toy, so we recommend displaying it out of play reach.
2. What colors does it come in?
The bronze-red finish shown is standard for this model; other patina tones can be quoted. Tell us your interior palette and we will propose options.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
