Bronze Dog Coffee Table with Marble Columns and Glass Top

Hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, 2238 × 900 × 600 mm, 24 kg. A bronze dog holds one end of the K9 crystal glass top in its jaws, while two dark marble columns with cast bronze capitals support the other end.

Product Overview

XLJJ-CJ007 is built on a deliberate imbalance: one end of the K9 crystal glass top is held in the jaws of a bronze dog, the other rests on two dark marble columns capped with cast bronze. The dog takes the role of the sculptural support, and the columns take the role of the rational one — the conversation between the two ends is the point of the piece.

The dog is cast as a single bronze figure, its head raised and its teeth closed on the glass edge; a bronze contact pad protects the glass where it is gripped. The figure is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method and patinated to a warm bronze-gold, and the marble columns are polished with visible veining under bronze capitals that echo the same patina. At 24 kg the whole table is light enough for two people to reposition.

2,238 mm of glass makes this a large coffee table, proportioned for long sofas, open-plan living areas and hotel lounges. The open span underneath means the floor reads continuously through the table, which keeps a big piece from blocking a room, and the height of 600 mm works for both coffee service and casual dining from a low seat.

The 2238 mm top is K9 crystal glass, chosen for its high clarity and light transmission. A special bevel cut runs around its edges — the same edge the dog’s jaws close on — so the rim picks up light and gives the long, quiet surface a detail you notice on the second look.

Customization Options

The table can be shortened for standard living rooms or extended toward two metres and beyond for hospitality use, with the column spacing and glass support points adjusted each time. The dog can be produced in a paler gold or a darker, almost blackened patina, and the columns can be supplied in other stone types, including lighter marbles for a brighter scheme. Matching side tables using the same figure are available on request. OEM and ODM drawings are welcome.

Packaging & Delivery

The three components travel separately: the bronze figure and the marble columns in one foam-lined wooden crate, the glass top on edge in its own foam frame. Crate sizes and freight configuration are confirmed with the quotation, and the glass crate is built for repeated lifting.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does the dog really hold the glass?

Yes. The dog’s jaws close on the edge of the K9 crystal glass top, with a bronze contact pad between metal and glass so the glass is not marked. Visually it is a grip; structurally the load is carried on cast bronze supports.

2. What are the columns made of?

Dark polished marble with visible veining, topped with cast bronze capitals in the same patina family as the dog. Other stone types can be selected for project orders.

3. Is the dog hollow-cast?

Yes. The figure is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, which keeps the finished table at 24 kg and makes it practical to reposition.

4. How large a room does this suit?

At 2,238 mm it is intended for long sofas and generous rooms — open-plan living areas, lounges and hospitality spaces. It can also be ordered shorter for domestic living rooms.

5. Is the glass top safe for daily use?

Glass tops are supplied in K9 crystal glass as standard, chosen for its high clarity; the exact glass material, thickness and bevel specification are confirmed with your order. The surface is supported at three points so it will not rock.

6. Can I order a matching side table?

Yes. We can produce a smaller version using the same dog figure with a round top, so a lounge can carry the design across two pieces.

7. What glass is used for the top?

K9 crystal glass, chosen for its high clarity and light transmission. Its edges take a special bevel cut, which draws a fine bright line along the 2238 mm rim and gives the surface a premium finish. The exact glass material, thickness and any tempering are confirmed with your order.
