Swing and People – Bronze Scene Sculpture

Hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, 650 × 200 × 360 mm, 4 kg. A miniature scene of figures on a swing, finished with a hand-applied, sealed patina — ideal for desks, shelves and reception counters.

Product Overview

The swing and people – bronze scene sculpture belongs to TYART’s figure collection: a miniature scene of figures on a swing, hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method and hand-finished with a hand-applied green patina. At 650 × 200 × 360 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.

Scale and finish are consistent across the series, so two or three pieces can share a shelf without competing — a small skyline of stories.

Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on desks, shelves and console tops, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.

Design Inspiration: A Small Story in Bronze

Cabinet bronzes in the Western tradition — the little figure on the mantel that starts a conversation — have always been narrative in miniature: a person, an action, a mood. This series keeps that charm at shelf scale: a dancing girl, a flying man, a woman at the prow of a boat, figures at one with leaves and wind. Small stories, told in a few centimeters of bronze.

Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina

The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.

At small scale, detail lives in the silhouette: each model is refined at the wax stage for readability, and edges are softened by hand so the piece feels carved rather than stamped.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What size are the scene figures?

Most models in this series are compact shelf-scale pieces sized for desks, shelves and niches; exact dimensions for each model are listed on the product page and confirmed with your order.

2. Can several be grouped on one shelf?

Yes — the series shares scale and patina language, so two or three pieces make a coherent shelf composition. Tell us the models you like and we will suggest groupings by height and gesture.

3. Can I order this piece in a different color?

Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.

4. What is the MOQ?

We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.

5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?

Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
