Splashing Water Column – Gold Bronze Sculpture

Hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, 300 × 200 × 1130 mm, 4.22 kg. A column of water curling upward and solidifying into polished gold, finished with a hand-applied, sealed patina — ideal for hotel lobbies, sales centers and entrance halls.

Product Overview

Splashing Water Column – Gold Bronze Sculpture is a hollow-cast bronze water sculpture with a polished gold finish. The subject — a column of water curling upward and solidifying into polished gold — is drawn with clean sculptural planes rather than surface fuss, so the piece reads clearly from across the room and keeps rewarding detail up close. At 300 × 200 × 1130 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.

The polished gold is mirror-bright on the convex faces and slightly softened in the hollows, so the form keeps its modeling even under strong lighting.

Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on lobby floors and large entrance surfaces, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.

Design Inspiration: The Wave, Stopped Mid-Air

In the East, water is wealth — 水为财 runs through feng shui, and moving water at an entrance is the classical wish for fortune flowing in. 上善若水 adds the moral reading: highest good is like water, soft yet unstoppable. A gold splash on the console carries both: prosperity moving, strength in a gentle form.

Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina

Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.

The split ribbon model is balance-critical: both leaping arms are weight-checked against the base so the composition stands dead still.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why gold rather than a natural water color?

Gold is deliberate on two counts: it matches the prosperity reading of moving water in Chinese tradition, and it makes the frozen motion glow in modern interiors the way bronze fountains glow in European squares.

2. Is the tall model stable?

Yes — the base is weighted in casting and each piece is balance-checked, including the two-ribbon model where both arms must counterpoise exactly.

3. Is each sculpture exactly the same?

The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.

4. What is the MOQ?

We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.

5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?

Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
