Unicorn (Black and White)

Hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, 493 × 293 × 470 mm (2 sizes). Winged unicorn, white body with black mane and wings, two sizes, finished with a hand-applied, sealed patina — ideal for living rooms, hotel lounges and reception areas.

Product Overview

This unicorn bronze takes winged unicorn, white body with black mane and wings as its subject and edits everything else away — no clutter, no fuss, just the gesture and the mass of the animal carried in hollow-cast bronze. a white patina is applied by hand and sealed. At 493 × 293 × 470 mm (supplied in 2 sizes), it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.

The body follows the horse’s working anatomy — chest, haunch, tucked waist — while the wings are the design’s flourish: layered feather planes swept back for lift. The horn is cast as one piece with the head and polished bright.

The patina is built up in layers and sealed, which means tone varies slightly from piece to piece — the mark of genuine hand finishing rather than a sprayed imitation. On a sideboard, console or reception counter, it holds its own without competing with the furniture around it, and it needs no more care than an occasional soft-cloth dusting.

Design Inspiration: The Unicorn — Rarity, Purity and a Little Magic

The design balances realism and fantasy: the horse’s anatomy is real, and the horn and wings are modeled with the same care so the impossible feels inevitable. It is a favorite for children’s spaces, gift occasions and youthful interiors — a symbol that needs no translation in any market.

Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina

The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.

The wing feathers are layered and edged by hand; the leading edges are burnished so the wings catch light from below as well as above.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this suitable for a child’s room?

As a display piece, yes — it is a favorite for children’s rooms and celebration gifts. It is a metal sculpture with finished edges, but it is not a toy; we recommend displaying it out of play reach.

2. Can the color scheme be changed?

Yes. The white-and-dark dress shown is standard, but the patina can be adjusted — all-white, blue-grey, or other two-tone combinations. Tell us the room’s palette and we will propose finishes.

3. Is each sculpture exactly the same?

The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.

4. What is the MOQ?

We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.

5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?

Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
