Product Overview
Model XL19A2-36 is built around a single image: a teal rock rebuilt with geometric polished gold facets piecing its fractured planes. The piece is hollow-cast by the traditional lost-wax method, then patinated and sealed by hand, so a teal patina pieced with geometric polished gold facets sits over crisp, hand-chased detail. At 600 × 300 × 300 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.
The rock is a compact teal mass with a rough outer texture; along its fracture, flat planes of polished gold meet the matte stone in clean geometric facets — triangles and chevrons, slightly raised, jewelry-grade detail on a stone-scale object.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a desk, shelf or console top, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: A Rock, Rebuilt in Geometry
Chinese scholars prized rocks precisely for their broken lines — 瘦皱漏透, character in the fracture. This piece keeps that spirit and modernizes it: the fissure becomes the composition, the gold facets become the joining gesture, and the whole reads as a mountain rebuilt by hand — wildness given order, order left wild.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
Each gold plane is hand-dressed to a consistent height — uniform enough to read as design, irregular enough to read as geology.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the gold inlay real metal?
It is part of the bronze casting — polished to a gold tone and sealed. Nothing is applied or glued on, so the facets are as permanent as the rock itself.
2. What does it say as a gift?
That what breaks can be rebuilt with intent — and the rebuilt line becomes the most beautiful one. It is a favorite for anniversaries, recoveries and any fresh start worth marking.
3. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
