Product Overview
The sea and sky oval – teal and gold bronze landscape belongs to TYART’s nature collection: a bronze oval of sea and sky joined by golden clouds — the circle drawn for the full moon and for completeness, hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method and hand-finished with a verdigris teal patina with polished gold accents. At 420 × 150 × 730 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
Each model is one continuous sweep — arch, oval or crescent — with the mountain as the positive form and the carved rock texture opening through it as the negative. Polished gold elements, pine or moon or cloud, are set against the deep teal or navy ground, and that two-tone contrast is what carries the scene across a room.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on sideboards, consoles and reception counters, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: Mountains in Positive and Negative
Chinese landscape painting is written, not drawn: a mountain ridge carries the same rhythm as a calligraphy stroke — thick and thin, pressure and release. The round and crescent silhouettes in this series borrow the moon, the full circle for 圆满 (completeness) and the arc for renewal, while the pine standing at the summit is the classic sign of endurance. On a console, each piece reads as a written landscape: a mountain in one breath.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
The openings are hollow-cast with the void formed in the wax — there is no assembly — and the inner gold elements are chased by hand so pine branches and cloud edges stay crisp.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the negative space really open through the piece?
Yes — the carved rock texture opens through the form, so light and sight lines pass straight through. That balance of mass and void is the point of the design: a full mountain subject that never sits heavy on the console.
2. Do the teal and navy models differ only in color?
Mostly, yes — silhouette and inner scenery vary slightly by model. If you tell us which combination you like, we can send current photos of each.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
