Product Overview
Among TYART’s animal bronzes, this whale stands out for the way a hand-applied patina plays over its forms: silver-speckled whale mother and calf with gold bellies. The modelling is calm and confident, built from broad planes that catch light along the silhouette. At 830 × 250 × 550 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.
The body is a single flowing spindle — no hard edges anywhere — so light runs nose to tail in one highlight. Fins and flukes are thinned at the edges, and the wave base is modeled as long rolled forms rather than detailed foam, keeping the piece calm at a distance.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a lobby floor or large entrance surface, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: Intelligence, Freedom and the Open Sea
Few subjects make a lobby feel welcoming as quickly as a dolphin or a whale: the dolphin is playfulness and good omen, the sailors’ guardian since ancient Greece, and the whale is calm depth — a favorite of families and ocean-lovers. The design follows the real swimmers: spindle-smooth bodies, fins set at working angles, and a wave base that reads as moving water without becoming fussy. Whale mother-and-calf groups add a note of care that suits clinics, family resorts and homes.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.
Fins, flukes and beaks are the thin-section work: after casting they are checked for completeness, cleaned by hand and burnished so the edges brighten, while the bodies keep a softer matte tone.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is this a dolphin or a whale model?
The listing title states the species of this model. The collection includes both dolphin groups and whale mother-and-calf pieces; if you are planning a marine-themed project, contact us and we will show you the full range.
2. Would this suit a spa, pool room or seaside property?
Very much so — marine bronzes are among our most requested subjects for resorts, spas and waterfront residences. The patina is sealed for indoor use; for covered outdoor spaces near salt air, ask us about the protective coating options in your quotation.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
