Product Overview
Model XLA1-03 is built around a single image: a gold standing woman looking upward with her arms swept behind her. The piece is hollow-cast by the traditional lost-wax method, then patinated and sealed by hand, so a polished golden finish sits over crisp, hand-chased detail. At 290 × 200 × 560 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
The figure is built on one unbroken line from the base of the stance to the tilt of the head. Shoulders, waist and hips are softened into smooth transitions, and the surface is kept deliberately clean so the hand-applied patina does the modeling. From the side, the silhouette is a single calligraphic curve.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on sideboards, consoles and reception counters, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Abstracted Female Form
Chinese scholarship has its own way of drawing the body — a single calligraphic stroke that carries the feeling rather than the anatomy. This figure works in the same spirit: the S-curve of the torso is treated like a brush line, and the patina adds the tone that ink gives paper. In an interior it brings a quiet, human presence — often read as grace and self-possession — without spelling out a story.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.
Because the forms are broad and smooth, the finishing focus shifts to surface quality: the casting is ground and refined until the planes run cleanly into one another, and the patina is layered in fine washes so the tone deepens gradually along the curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is an abstract figure suitable for a gift?
Yes — it is one of the safest choices. The form is human and warm, but without a specific story attached, so it suits different tastes, ages and interiors. It is often chosen for corporate awards and personal gifts alike.
2. Will the figure suit a modern minimalist room?
It is designed for exactly that. The simplified planes and clean silhouette sit comfortably against neutral materials, while the hand-applied patina adds the warmth that minimal rooms often need.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. What is the MOQ?
