Product Overview
The contrasting curves – teal and gold bronze abstract belongs to TYART’s nature collection: an abstract bird taking flight, drawn in two swept curves of teal and white with gold accents, hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method and hand-finished with a verdigris teal patina with polished gold accents. At 269 × 145 × 660 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
The body is two interlocking sweeps: the teal curve carries the wing, the pale curve the breast and tail, gold marking the points where the lines turn. The negative space between the curves does half the drawing — the bird is as much air as metal.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a sideboard, console or reception counter, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: A Bird, Reduced to Two Curves
In the East a rising bird means 自由 and 前程 — freedom and the open road ahead; two curves lifting together also read as 比翼, flying wing to wing. On a console or desk it is a quiet wish: may your journey be light and your direction true.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.
The two-face finish on the upright model requires clean resist lines at the edge; the junction is checked blade-straight on every piece.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is it one bird or two?
One bird, drawn in two curves — the teal sweep and the pale sweep meet at the wing. From the side they read as a single bird taking flight; from the front, as two lines in balance.
2. Can it be paired with the green curl piece?
Yes — the two were finished as complementary abstracts, one closed and circular, one open and rising. Together they read as water and bird, stillness and flight.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
