Product Overview
Cast by the traditional lost-wax method and finished entirely by hand, this bronze fish presents fish beside a natural stone. a hand-applied patina gives the surface its depth, and the simplified planes keep the design readable in modern interiors. At 290 × 250 × 430 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.
The body is modeled as one smooth arc with the tail sweeping back beneath it, so the piece reads as paused mid-swim. Fins are thinned and slightly translucent-looking at the edges; scale texture, where used, is shallow and confined to the flank.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on desks, shelves and console tops, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: Abundance, Perseverance and Living Water
Small, symbolic and graceful from every angle, fish are the quiet workhorses of interior styling: an abundance symbol at an entrance, a perseverance story on a study desk, a spot of living water in a modern room. The design keeps the drawing economical — a clean body line, fins as flat accents, scales suggested only where light needs something to catch.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Casting begins with the original master model. A wax copy is coated in ceramic, fired, and replaced with molten bronze in the lost-wax method our foundry has used for years. The hollow-cast bronze is then fettled and finished by hand — seams removed, detail sharpened, surface evened — before the patina is built up in successive washes and sealed to protect the tone. Small variations between pieces are the signature of hand finishing, not a defect.
Where a natural stone is set into the base, each stone is selected and seated by hand; no two stones are alike, which makes every piece in this series slightly one of a kind.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does a fish sculpture symbolize?
Abundance — in Chinese the word for fish sounds like “surplus”, and European tradition long used the fish as a sign of plenty — plus the carp’s famous story of perseverance rewarded, the dragon-gate legend carried worldwide by Japanese koi. Fish pieces suit studies, entrances and business settings.
2. Do the fish-and-stone pieces use real stone?
The stone-form element is set into the base as part of the composition. The exact materials of your piece are confirmed in the listing description and your quotation — contact us if you need the detail in writing before ordering.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
