Product Overview
Cast by the traditional lost-wax method and finished entirely by hand, this bronze elephant presents mother and baby elephant walking together. a hand-applied patina gives the surface its depth, and the simplified planes keep the design readable in modern interiors. At 550 × 260 × 150 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.
Ears and trunk are the two focal points. The ears are thinned at the edges so light passes through their rims, and the trunk is cast in one piece with the head so its curve stays continuous. Tusks, where present, are polished brighter than the body to pick up accent light.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on desks, shelves and console tops, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: Wisdom, Memory and Good Fortune
The elephant’s appeal in interiors comes from its contradiction: enormous visual weight, completely calm bearing — wisdom and stability that every culture reads the same way. The design leans into that. The walk is unhurried, the head level, the ears spread just enough to give the silhouette its character. Families and herds — mother with calf — are the most requested versions, because the grouping reads as care and continuity as well as strength.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
Elephant skin texture is suggested with a fine crosshatch that is deepest along the trunk and legs; after patina it reads as tone, not ornament, keeping the piece sculptural rather than busy.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Should I choose a raised trunk or a walking elephant?
Raised-trunk elephants are the traditional luck-showering choice for entrances and gift occasions; walking elephants read calmer and suit living spaces and lounge settings. Both carry the same symbolism of wisdom and stability, so the choice is mostly about the mood of your space.
2. Do you have mother-and-calf or herd versions?
Yes — the collection includes mother-and-calf pairs and walking herds. For lobby projects, matched groups placed along an entrance axis work especially well; contact us with your floor plan and we will suggest sizes and spacing.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
