Product Overview
This bronze takes two gold ribbons of water leaping apart from one base as its subject and edits everything else away — no clutter, no fuss, just the gesture and the presence of the form carried in hollow-cast bronze. a polished gold finish is applied by hand and sealed. At 1002 × 360 × 150 mm, it is sized for desks, shelves and console tops.
The first model is a single column twisting upward, its surface rippled like current; the second splits into two gold ribbons leaping apart from one base. Both end in slim black plinths that let the metal do the talking.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a desk, shelf or console top, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: The Wave, Stopped Mid-Air
In the East, water is wealth — 水为财 runs through feng shui, and moving water at an entrance is the classical wish for fortune flowing in. 上善若水 adds the moral reading: highest good is like water, soft yet unstoppable. A gold splash on the console carries both: prosperity moving, strength in a gentle form.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
The piece is produced by the traditional lost-wax method. Wax is modelled from the master, invested in a ceramic shell and burnt out, and molten bronze is poured into the cavity, so the finished casting is a hollow bronze shell rather than a solid block — lighter to handle, easier to place, and true to the way fine bronzes have been made for centuries. After casting, the surface is chased and polished by hand, then patinated in layered tones and sealed.
Open curling forms are hollow-cast with wall thickness verified through every curve; the mirror finish is hand-polished and sealed against tarnish and fingerprints.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why gold rather than a natural water color?
Gold is deliberate on two counts: it matches the prosperity reading of moving water in Chinese tradition, and it makes the frozen motion glow in modern interiors the way bronze fountains glow in European squares.
2. Is the tall model stable?
Yes — the base is weighted in casting and each piece is balance-checked, including the two-ribbon model where both arms must counterpoise exactly.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
