Product Overview
Among TYART’s figure bronzes, this piece stands out for the way a polished golden finish plays over its forms: an abstract figure on a curling wave, another view of the series. The modelling is calm and confident, built from broad planes that catch light along the silhouette. At 820 × 170 × 570 mm, it is sized for sideboards, consoles and reception counters.
Each figure is an exercise in reduction: a head, a torso, a gesture — no drapery, no anecdote. Some models add one symbol (the moon ring, the wave) set against the figure’s stillness. Surfaces are smooth and confident, finished to hold a soft sheen rather than a mirror.
The finish is sealed against fingerprints and daily handling. On a sideboard, console or reception counter, the piece works as a quiet anchor in the room — close enough to touch, solid enough to stay put, and simple to care for with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Design Inspiration: The Mindful Form
The East contributes the grammar: the circle (the ensō ring, here the moon), the wave, the single seated silhouette. Together they read as calm in any language — a piece for entrances, studies and wellness spaces that asks for nothing except a slow breath.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
The moon rings and wave bases are cast separately, joined with hidden welds and re-patinated so the symbol appears to float beside the figure without visible fixings.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does the piece have a religious meaning?
It is spiritual rather than religious — stillness, balance, the meditating human form. It is at home in a meditation room, but equally at home as pure contemporary sculpture in a secular interior.
2. Why the ring / wave beside the figure?
The ring is the moon (and echoes the ensō circle of Zen painting); the wave is the moving world the meditator sits above. Each symbol sets the figure’s stillness off — calm needs context.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
