Product Overview
The apsaras dancing and playing no.1 – bronze belongs to TYART’s figure collection: a dancing apsaras with gold and blue ribbons, hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method and hand-finished with a hand-applied patina. At 580 × 380 × 1800 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.
The apsaras leans into flight, body a clean arc, while the ribbons do the flying — two or three wide bands looping above and below her. The composition is a braid of curves with the figure at its center, smooth-surfaced and modern, with color carried by the patina of the bands.
The patina is built up in layers and sealed, which means tone varies slightly from piece to piece — the mark of genuine hand finishing rather than a sprayed imitation. On a lobby floor or large entrance surface, it holds its own without competing with the furniture around it, and it needs no more care than an occasional soft-cloth dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Flying Apsaras
Western sculpture has its Winged Victory — drapery pressed back by flight itself. The East answers with the apsaras: celestial musicians of the Buddhist sky, flying not on wings but on ribbons that trail kilometers across the Dunhuang cave ceilings. This series takes that image into the modern interior: a dancer suspended in a loop of sweeping bands, weightless, playing or dancing as she travels.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
Flight poses concentrate force at the ribbon-figure junctions; these are welded first, ground to invisibility and re-patinated, then the whole piece is balanced on its base before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do the apsaras figures have wings?
No — and that is the point. Apsaras fly on ribbons rather than wings, the Chinese answer to the Western winged victory. The bands you see looping around the figure are her flight.
2. Can I take several pieces from the series for one display?
Yes — the series shares pose language, scale and finish, so two or three apsaras grouped on a long console or staggered on plinths read as one sky. Project pricing is available for the set.
3. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
4. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
5. How is the sculpture packed for shipping?
Each piece is wrapped in protective foam and packed in a reinforced export carton; larger pieces travel in a foam-lined wooden crate. Wooden crates are standard for project shipments.
