Product Overview
Model XLA1-31 is built around a single image: a seated Guanyin resting on branch forms within a gilded ring. The piece is hollow-cast by the traditional lost-wax method, then patinated and sealed by hand, so a white patina sits over crisp, hand-chased detail. At 900 × 300 × 1100 mm, it is designed for lobby floors and large entrance surfaces.
The face is the sculpture’s heart: smoothed of anecdote, slightly downcast, finished with care so the expression holds from both across a room and at arm’s length.
Because every surface is patinated by hand before sealing, the finish has depth: brighter where the forms rise, deeper in the hollows. Placed on lobby floors and large entrance surfaces, the sculpture reads as a lived-in bronze object rather than a plated ornament, and it keeps its tone with nothing more than routine dusting.
Design Inspiration: The Goddess of Mercy
In Chinese homes Guanyin stands for compassion, protection and peace of mind — a presence that calms a room. Whether placed in an entrance, a quiet corner or a collection shelf, she brings the same message: kindness watches over this house. For hotels and teahouses she adds a note of sanctuary.
Craftsmanship: Lost-Wax Casting and Hand Patina
Every sculpture is hollow-cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method: a wax model is taken from the original master, encased in a ceramic shell, burnt out and replaced with molten bronze. The raw casting is cleaned, welded and refined entirely by hand before the patina is applied layer by layer and sealed. Because the patina is finished by hand, each piece varies slightly in tone and depth — a mark of genuine cast bronze rather than a sprayed imitation.
Robe folds are combed and eased by hand after casting; the two-tone finish (white robe, green sash, gilt ring) is masked and applied in stages so the colors stay clean at their borders.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is this sculpture suitable as a religious object or only as decor?
Both. Many customers place Guanyin as a devotional focus; others value her as one of the great figures of world sculpture. The casting and finish are made to the same standard either way, and no blessing ritual is required for display.
2. What does the golden ring behind her mean?
It is the aureole — a halo of light used in both Western and Eastern sacred art to mark a holy figure. In Chinese iconography it frames Guanyin’s compassion; visually it also lifts the whole composition.
3. Can I order this piece in a different color?
Yes. The finish shown is the standard patina of this model, but the same sculpture can be produced in other tones — warm brown, antique gold, verdigris green or a custom two-tone patina. Hand patina is our standard process, so an alternative finish does not significantly affect lead time.
4. Is each sculpture exactly the same?
The casting comes from the same mold, so the form is consistent. The patina, however, is applied by hand, which means slight variations in tone between individual pieces — a normal characteristic of genuine cast bronze.
5. What is the MOQ?
We work with both single-piece orders and bulk project orders. Contact us with your quantity and destination port for an accurate quotation and lead time.
